For every new website we create or promote we will submit it as standard to 70 or so different search engines in a process that simulates a manual submission. We use 3 different Titles and Descriptions for your website in this process, so that there is a variety of linking texts. The search engines we submit to will depend on your location and the language of the website. If for instance, your website is in the UK we would submit it to Google.com and Google.co.uk, but we wouldn't submit it to Google.fr (the French version), as that might be considered spamming - and Google share information across all of their search engines anyway. The most successful search engines will keep indexing and updating your site indefinitely, however if you're hosting your site with us, or have any kind of ongoing contract, we will resubmit your site once a year free of charge to all the search engines - including new search engines that have obtained a reasonable web presence. The search engine submission naturally includes the major search engines, such as: Google (Some of these will also pass their information on to other search engines). We will also manually submit your website to DMOZ (the Open Directory Project) in the most appropriate category. With DMOZ, each site is reviewed by a volunteer, so it can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months for your site to appear, with Google and Yaho your site should appear in a month at the most. We speed up this process by generating incoming links to your site, which prioritises your sites indexing and also moves your website further up the search results.
